Germany – Spalt/Erlangen 17.04.2019 – FATH Industrieholding GmbH acquired a stake in ambos.io GmbH with effect from the end of March 2019. The objective of the engagement of FATH is the strategic use of ambos.io’s software and digitalization expertise in the logistics sector to expand its own range of services. “The integration of suppliers into the customer’s value chain will be an even more important competitive factor in the future. In the field of logistics, digitalization offers interesting possibilities for efficiency gains for customers and suppliers,” emphasizes Markus Feil, CEO of the FATH Group.
For ambos.io the integration with FATH means “… a valuable access to synergies in the strategic positioning and to the network of an international group of companies. The cooperation with FATH enables us to quickly pass through the learning curve of a young and innovative company,” Fabian Bodensteiner, Founder and Managing Partner of ambos.io is convinced of.
As part of the existing technology partnership, the partners developed the digital C-Part Management System ‘FATH CPM’ in 2018 (www.fath.net/cpm). This automatic storage and assembly system has a modular structure: Rotating storage levels with precision scales enable the continuous and automatic determination of the quantity and value content of the individual storage boxes. The associated software solution is an innovative logistics example for Industry 4.0. It guarantees the digital connection of the individual storage boxes to the internal Supply Chain, digitally connects the intralogistics und enables digital networking with external suppliers. It thus is providing an essential basis for the future-oriented focus of logistic processes.
The ‘FATH CPM’ was presented for the first time at the Motek trade fair (Stuttgart, 10/2018). The positive market response has been confirmed at other trade fairs such as SPS/IPC/Drives (Nürnberg, 11/2018), LogiMAT (Stuttgart, 02/2019) and most recently Hannover Messe (04/2019). Currently 18 companies in Germany, France and Hungary are participating in a pilot phase of the new FATH C-Part Management System.
